San Bernardino County

San Bernardino County is located in the southern portion of the state, East of Los Angeles and is part of the Inland Empire. The county seat and largest city is San Bernardino.

San Bernardino County is geographically diverse, with landscapes ranging from desert to mountains. The county is home to the San Bernardino National Forest, which contains the San Bernardino Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains. These mountains provide recreational opportunities such as hiking, skiing, and rock climbing. Major towns and cities in San Bernardino County include San Bernardino, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, and Redlands. The county has a population of over 2.2 million people, making it the fifth most populous county in California.

Some landmarks in San Bernardino County include the San Bernardino Mountains, the California Theatre of the Performing Arts, and the Riverside Community College District. The first colonists arrived in the tribal lands of the Serrano (Maara’yam) Native people in the early 1800s. The county was named after the San Bernardino Valley, which was named by Spanish colonial missionaries in the 18th century after St. Bernardine of Siena.

Unfortunately, the government of San Bernardino County has prohibited all forms of commercial cannabis within their jurisdiction. Please follow the links here to contact their officials and tell them to change their outdated and discriminatory decision. Several cities within the county, including San Bernardino itself, currently allow commercial cannabis operations. Despite this policy patchwork, the county has a large cannabis industry, and the city-by-city legalization seems to have created a thriving cannabis economy, serving both local consumers and export to LA.
