Sierra County

Unfortunately, the government of Sierra County has prohibited all forms of commercial cannabis within their jurisdiction.

Located in the North East part of the state in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Sierra County, established in 1852, is a serene region with a rich Gold Rush history. Its culture is based on rugged mountain living, and it has the smallest population of any county in California, approximately 3,000 as of September 2021. The county geography features rugged mountains, pristine forests, and alpine lakes. Downieville, the county seat and largest city, is a historic town with well-preserved Gold Rush-era architecture, hosting the renowned Downieville Classic Mountain Bike Race.
